Stark broadening of Ba I and Ba II spectral lines^*

Abstract

Using a semiclassical approach, we have calculated electron-, pro ton-, and ionized he li um- im pact line widths and shifts for 14 Ba I and 64 Ba II multiplets for perturber densities 10¹⁵- 10¹⁸ cm^-3 and temperatures  K for Ba I and  K for Ba II. The results have been compared with available experimental and theoretical data.
