3. Results

The final images obtained for the whole sample are shown in Fig. 1 (click here). The contours correspond to the total intensity, the position angles of the vectors correspond to the polarization position angle (tex2html_wrap_inline1826 vector) and their length is proportional to the fractional polarization.

In Table 3 (click here) we summarize the values of a number of parameters obtained for the entire source and for the individual components in the same way as done at 20 cm (see Table 1 of Paper I). In Col. 2 we indicate jet and counter-jet for the sources for which this classification was possible (following Parma et al. 1993 and the latest unpublished data); in Cols. 4, 6 and 8 we give the mean vector (m) and scalar (m') fractional polarization and the polarization position angle A together with their associated errors as defined in Paper I. The depolarization between 20 and 6 cm (tex2html_wrap_inline1836) and the difference in position angle (tex2html_wrap_inline1838) between these two frequencies are also included in Table 3 (click here) and will be described in more details in Sect. 4.
