We confirm the low intrumental polarization measured by di Serego Alighieri (1998). Indeed, on 27 April 1998, we have observed an unpolarized standard star (HD 154892, from Turnshek et al. 1990) for which we measured $p_{\scriptscriptstyle \rm V} = 0.06\pm 0.02\, \%$, using Eq. (2).
