Up: B[e] stars
Most of the characteristics of this star correspond very well to those of
an average B[e] star, except the fact that we observe [Fe III], [N II] and
[O III], which have ionization potentials above 25 eV. In this sense MWC 17
is close to HD 51585. We observe however no He II, a fact which
differentiates it from planetary nebulae or objects related to them.
