Abstract:

We present VLA observations at 4.9 GHz of 144 steep-spectrum 4C sources whose declinations are between $-4^{\circ}$ and $4^{\circ}$ and whose angular sizes are smaller than 30 arcsec. Higher-resolution MERLIN images are also given for six previously-mapped small sources.

Key words: surveys -- galaxies: active -- radio continuum: galaxies -- radio continuum: general
