Up: Cepheids as tracers

5. Summary

We have searched for Cepheid variables in portions of M 31 which have previously been ignored. We have found 130 new Cepheid variable candidates, with < 3% contamination by other types of variables and a completeness of tex2html_wrap_inline1015 53% for tex2html_wrap_inline1199. These Cepheids will be used to study the star formation history in M 31.
