1. Introduction

This paper continues a series in which we present photometry of rich distant open clusters (Kaluzny 1994, Paper I; Kaluzny & Rucinski 1995, Paper II). Berkeley 18 = Be 18 (l=163.3 deg, b=+5.1 deg) is a faint cluster which has been identified by Setteducati & Waever (1962). The color-magnitude diagram of this cluster was presented by Kaluzny et al. (1995). No detailed photometric study was reported so far for Be 18.
